Adobe

Adobe is a software company founded in 1982 and based in San Jose, California. Its creative applications, among them Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom and Adobe Express, are used for images, video and design, and it builds its own generative AI models under the Firefly name.

Adobe says its Firefly models are commercially safe because they are trained on licensed content from Adobe Stock and on public domain content whose copyright has expired. The current image model is Firefly Image 5, and a Firefly Video model generates video. The Firefly app also offers partner models from companies such as Google, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Luma AI and Runway.
