What we list and what we do not

Best-AI.org is a directory of AI tools. We review every submission by hand. Listing is free. We do not promise a review date for free listings, and a listing is never a ranking or an endorsement.

What we list

  • Products people can use today: a website, an app or an API that is publicly available.
  • Products where AI is a recognisable part of what the product does. We look at what you submit and at your website; if neither mentions AI, we cannot tell that it is an AI product.
  • Products that build on someone else's AI model, as long as AI is the focus of the product and it adds something of its own, for example its own workflow, interface or data. A page that only puts a name on a model's default output is not a product of its own.
  • Products with adult or romantic content, only if the submission carries the NSFW flag. They are listed as adult content, kept out of the general lists for other visitors and not promoted. Adult content without the flag is not accepted.
  • MCP servers and other developer infrastructure are reviewed separately and may take longer to be listed.
  • One entry per product. A product with its own site and its own purpose gets its own entry.

What we do not list

These are the reasons you may see in your dashboard. The sentence in quotes is what the dashboard shows.

Duplicates

The tool is already listed, or the same website is already in the queue. Pages, language versions or feature pages of a product we already list do not get their own entry.

“This tool is already listed in our directory.”

Websites we cannot reach

If the domain does not exist or the site is gone when we review, we cannot check the product. You can submit again once it is online.

“The website could not be reached when we reviewed the submission.”

Products without recognisable AI

We look at what you submit and at your website. If neither mentions AI, we cannot tell that it is an AI product. If this is a mistake, say so on your website or in a new submission.

“We list AI products only, and we could not find AI features on the website or in the submission.”

Directories and listing sites

We list products, not collections of products.

“We do not list directories, listing sites or other collections of tools.”

Products that are not launched yet

Waitlists and "coming soon" pages are not listed. Submit again when people can use the product.

“The product is not publicly available yet (waitlist or coming soon).”

Submissions with too little information

A clear description, the website and what the product does are the minimum we need to review it.

“The submission did not contain enough information to review the product.”

Other reasons are written out in the rejection text.

Listing is free. Optional paid services, for example Fast-Track or Featured, are described under pricing details on our partner page. They never change what we accept.

After a decision

You see the result and the reason in your dashboard. We do not send a rejection email. A rejected product can be submitted again when the reason no longer applies.
