Anthropic: Supply chain risk designation after DoW dispute
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth directed the Department of War to designate Anthropic a supply chain risk (Feb 2026) after talks stalled over two exceptions: no mass domestic surveillance and no fully autonomous weapons. Anthropic will challenge the designation in court; commercial and individual access to Claude is unaffected.
